This is a community-maintained fork of the original KIM (KDE Image Manipulator) script, updated to ensure compatibility and optimal performance under KDE Plasma 6.
KIM is a powerful collection of scripts designed to enhance image management and manipulation directly within the KDE Plasma desktop environment. It provides quick access to everyday image operations through Konqueror/Dolphin service menus.
While the original KIM offered a wide range of functionalities, this fork aims to preserve and adapt them for the latest Plasma environment. Key features include:
- Image Resizing and Compression: Easily adjust image dimensions and file sizes.
- Rotation and Conversion: Rotate images and convert between various formats.
- Batch Operations: Perform actions on multiple images simultaneously.
- Web Export: Prepare images for web use.
- Slideshow Creation: Generate simple image slideshows.
- Renaming and Sorting: Organize your image collection efficiently.
This project currently supports the following languages:
- English
- Spanish (es)
- German (de)
- French (fr)
To install KIM, run the install.sh script as root:
sudo ./install.shTo uninstall, run the uninstall.sh script as root:
sudo ./uninstall.shAlternatively, check your favorite package manager for a KIM package. << Kim for KDE 6.x does not exist in any package manager.
Once installed, KIM's functionalities are accessible via the right-click context menu in Dolphin (or Konqueror).
