About
Welcome to the Social Complexity Lab, an interdisciplinary research group which spans the academic spectrum with members at all levels, from Master's student to professor. We are united in our pursuit of understanding the intricate dynamics of human behavior and interaction.
Our primary focus lies in unraveling the mysteries of human behavior. We strive to answer questions such as: What factors influence where we choose to live? How do modern technologies like smartphones affect our sleep patterns? How does a global event like a pandemic alter our behavior?
We approach these complex problems by integrating methods from various disciplines. Our research combines the quantitative techniques of physics and computer science with the nuanced understanding of human behavior provided by computational sociology. This blend allows us to analyze complex social phenomena from a multidimensional perspective. Through our research, we aim to contribute to the fields of social science, physics, and computer science, ultimately fostering a deeper comprehension of how we humans navigate our social landscape.
Whether you're a prospective student, fellow researcher, or simply an interested visitor, we invite you to explore our research, meet our team, and join us in our quest to decode the complexity of human social behavior.
Finally, if you wonder why the website is so minimal (and terrible), it's because we're busy writing papers or perfecting work / life balance instead of making fancy websites.
