[Regression 4.5] Copy only PDF to Output

I used to use

output_directory : "<<temp>>", "copy_output_on_build": true

so I only had the *.tex and *.pdf in my working directory

With 4.5 "copy_output_on_build": true is no longer supported so i had to resort to aux_directory : "<<temp>>". Unfortunately now *.synctex.gz files are bing moved into my workspace folder as well, messing up my nice and clean system.

How do I get rid of that in this new system ?

A synctex.gz is required to be located next to related pdf document for backward sync to work, when being opened in viewer. Hence it is considdered a final build asset to be moved to specified output-directory after build.

It is therefore not possible to avoid that file being located next to final PDF file as there is only one.

It is also not a regression, but a design choice being made to consistently treat "aux_directory" as location for intermediate files and configured "output_directory" as single location for all final documents, rather than duplicating files. It actually took me a while to figure out why I magically had a final PDF being copied to my working directory, while expecting it to be located only in output, which I judged "messy".

If you don't want to see that file in sidebar, you can customize ST's "file_exclude_patterns" setting to hide it.

The current implementation ensures not to keep duplicate files and opening the final document in viewer is required to fix all those "SumatraPDF doesn't reload re-build files" etc. issues.

I do understand the value of *synctex.gz files , however in my work environment I do consider *.synctex.gz files cluttering my file system unacceptable, thus was glad of the option in the past to exclude it. With the option of "copy_output_on_build": true gone, I no longer know how to achive the same situation as before.

I have tried

without success as it yields the error:

Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/tmp/.../*.synctex.gz'

The build system seems to expect to copy the *.synctex and *.pdf files after compilation from tmp to my workspace.

Related with #1336, which requested the final document to be viewed with synctex support enabled.

In case someone finds this, a possible workaround:

You can revert to the old version:
put "auto_upgrade_ignore": ["LaTeXTools"] in your sublime config.
manually install the 4.4.2 in sublimes Packages folder.

Since sublime opens the pdf after compile while it's still in <<temp>> directory, synctex functionaliy still works while working on it.
