When is the Wiki gonna get updated?
I'm a complete idiot and have no idea what the new tools do in TEdit 3 BETA 5

Sometime after TEdit 3 is out of beta.

I am retaking an interest in this and have just downloaded TEdit 3. Once I get to mess around with it enough to figure things out I'll start updating the wiki. Most of it I'm thinking will be picture updates, unless the tools have changed that significantly.

I was hoping you would :)

Pretty much everything is the same, the point placer has replaced spawn/dungeon tool. There are a few new things as well.

Been playing around with it - loving the detailed textures on sprites. I sent a pm with one or two questions.

Mostly the pictures need updating on the wiki and will probably take 90% of the time. The sprite tool needs adding in. The other tools need new explanations of how they work but the are mostly small differences. Think the world properties might need a few minor details added in.

Now just got to figure out how to add the images to the image folder here.

Pull the repository, I use http://code.google.com/p/gitextensions/

There are some tutorials on that website. Switch to the gh-pages branch and dump the images there. Be sure to use _ instead of spaces, web safe titles and all.

Downloaded the gitextenstions; will read up on how to use.

Ok, think I've got it figured out now. Cloned the project and am able to access the gh-pages branch and therefore the images folder.

Something I noticed, the master branch has the icons folders with the icons for the tools - is there a web adress for these that I can use in the wiki? Would save me having to add them to the images folder (in the gh-pages branch). I tried "http://binaryconstruct.github.com/Terraria-Map-Editor/Icons/cross.png" but to no avail.

use the same format for other branches e.g.:

https://github.com/BinaryConstruct/Terraria-Map-Editor/raw/master/Icons/cross.png
https://github.com/BinaryConstruct/Terraria-Map-Editor/raw/gh-pages/images/wiki/FalseColor.png

https://github.com/BinaryConstruct/Terraria-Map-Editor/raw/[branch]/[folder]/[filename.ext]

be sure to include the "raw"

Awesome.

P.S. There is no hotkey for "New". Perhaps "Ctrl + N"?

Been a lot more writing than I thought there would be. Nearly done updating all the text now. I've been making the images as I've been going but haven't yet started committing them.

Taking a break for the rest of tonight; might be done tomorrow though if the rest doesn't take too long, and then I can close the issue!

Here are all the current shortcuts that aren't in settings.xml (settings.xml has the tool shortcuts and are user-customizable)

Closing, not really an "Issue".
