Data Set Description

This set contains the data of the paper "One does not Simply RSVP: Mental Workload to Select Speed Reading Parameters using Electroencephalography".

Citing the Data Set and the Paper

The folders indicate the participant ID. The file names describe the condition with the respective text alignment and reading speed.

• PDF: Baseline PDF reading trial
• sim: Centered text alignment
• optBW: Spritz-centered text alignment without a colored optimal character position
• opt: Spritz-centered text alignment with a colored optimal character position
• 200: Text was presented with 200 words per minute
• 350: Text was presented with 350 words per minute
• 500: Text was presented with 500 words per minute

For example, a file name containing the description sim.350 represents the recorded EEG data of a participant who was reading with centered text at the speed of 350 words per minute.
