Desktop Edition allows loading of VPAX files even though it shouldn't #133

If TE3 is opened from the start menu then the Vertipaq Analyzer doesn't allow to load the VPAX document.

But once I connect to a Power BI model, the option is unlocked.

Now if I close the model the import option is available

And I can load a vpax document.

Thanks for reporting. By design, Desktop Edition should only let you import VPAX files while connected to a model in Power BI Desktop. Otherwise, people would be able to workaround the licensing terms for Desktop Edition (which is only intended to be used as an external tool for Power BI Desktop).
