Event Categories are not syncing

Event Categories are not currently supported by the app. If you are assigning categories and colors to your events then you will not see them sync to Android.

A simple workaround would be to use separate calendars for your event types rather than categories. For example, setup "Vacation Schedule" and "On Call Schedule" as two separate calendars rather than using categories. You can select a different color for each calendar in Android. So you end up with the same effect.

August 21, 2014 One user actually reported losing event categories from Outlook after setting up Team Calendar Sync. If you are using categories heavily it is recommended to test the app with another calendar first (setup a test calendar) before you try it on your regular calendar. After the user reported the issue we did some troubleshooting but could not determine whether the app caused the issue or something else that was done on the Outlook side.
