AI⁴ Constrained Singularity Scaffold for decentralized, constrained, multi-shard AI agents

AI⁴ Constrained Singularity is an early-stage agent architecture exploring how long-lived AI systems can operate with stable identity, interpretable constraints, and consistent behavior in decentralized environments. It aims to establish the foundations for agents that are aligned, persistent, and capable of evolving through structured feedback rather than uncontrolled drift.

The framework is part of the broader AI⁴ vision for decentralized recursive intelligence.

Purpose and Direction

As intelligence systems become persistent and autonomous, they require:

• stable identity • constraint layers that regulate behavior • modular reasoning pathways • transparent scoring and feedback • the ability to maintain continuity over time • safeguards that align with community values

Traditional single-pass inference models cannot support this by themselves. AI⁴ Constrained Singularity begins defining the architectural substrate that future recursive or evolving agent systems will depend on.

Core Concepts

Identity Agents bind to on-chain identity through the AI⁴ domain layer. This allows long-term state, reputation, and verifiable execution context.

Constraint Outputs pass through layered filters including moral checks, emotional scoring, symbolic routing, and safety guards.

Sharded Cognition Reasoning is distributed across multiple evaluators or “shards.” Each shard offers a perspective, constraint, or score. Final behavior is derived from weighted consensus, not a single model pass.

These components form the groundwork for recursive intelligence loops in later phases.

Key Modules

agents Early scaffolding for recursive behavior and decision loops.

constraints Moral, emotional, and symbolic constraint middleware.

logs Audit chain and token-feedback ledger for traceability.

shards Shard routing, scoring, voting, and adaptation structures.

src/main.py Base interaction loop and execution context.

tests Initial unit test scaffolding.

These modules represent conceptual structure and design direction; functionality will expand over time.

Roadmap: Compute Alignment and io.net Integration

As the architecture evolves, compute becomes increasingly central to agent behavior. The roadmap below outlines how AI⁴ plans to integrate with decentralized GPU compute ecosystems such as io.net.

Phase 1 – Foundation (Current)

Focus: Stability, constraints, and architectural clarity.

• strengthen constraint middleware • expand shard evaluators • unify identity and logging • stabilize initial agent shells • define agent state schema

io.net role: optional.

Phase 2 – Deterministic Agent Loops (Light Compute)

Focus: predictable, multi-pass reasoning.

• multi-shard consensus • contextual memory stubs • basic self-review cycles • identity-bound embeddings • event-driven scoring

Compute requirement: sustained inference. io.net role: low-latency GPU-backed inference.

Phase 3 – Training Hooks (Medium Compute)

Phase 4 – Autonomous Compute Scheduling (High Compute)

Focus: agent-initiated workloads.

• agents calling IO Cloud directly • self-directed training tasks • long-lived memory maintenance • specialized shard development • multimodal components (optional)

Compute requirement: ongoing distributed GPU use. io.net role: foundational compute substrate.

Phase 5 – Recursive Evolution (Advanced)

Focus: decentralized intelligence loops.

• recurring refinement cycles • agent families and inherited state • collaborative training across agents • decentralized cohort optimization • periodic model refresh pipelines

Compute requirement: continual training and inference.

io.net role: backbone for recursive agents.

Long-Term Vision

AI⁴ Constrained Singularity is an exploratory framework. Its purpose is to define how decentralized intelligence can evolve while preserving safety, transparency, and identity continuity.

As the system matures, agents will:

• maintain long-term memory • influence shard weights through feedback • schedule their own compute • refine behavior across sessions • collaborate with other agents • operate as persistent digital actors in decentralized environments

The goal is not to rush capability but to build the correct structure before complexity emerges.

Install dependencies: pip install -r requirements.txt

Experimental agent loop: python src/main.py
