nuke-NodeSelections

Quick way to temporally store node selections in Nuke.

Instalation

Copy the content of NodeSelections.py in your menu.py file. You can also copy the content of NodeSelections.py in the Script Editor and execute it.

How it works

This script will create a menu in the top bar called 'Node Selections'. Inside of it you will have both the option to add a selection (clicking on 'Add Selection') or the different selections that you have already created.

Select a group of nodes and click on 'Add Selection'. The script will ask you to give a name to a selection and will create a tab in those node where it will store the Selection IDs. So it doesn't matter if you change the node's name, it will still search for the nodes that have that specific Selection ID.

Sadly, every time that nuke opens, the Node Selection list will be empty. Don't worry, the Selection IDs are still on the nodes, so the only thing you need to do to restore your selections is to create an empty selection and give it the name of the Selection ID you want to restore.
