Objects in trash do not need to be replicated to tape. Can we modify the rule so that these obejcts aren't replicated?

Research into the error messages seems to indicate problem is better described as 'iRODS errors when placing a "duplicate" object into the trash on a delete.' This issue has been raised with the iRODS developers and the Jargon developer (a workaround may be to ignore the error at the Jargon level so it does not get to Fedora).

If this was related to the log error on DEV from the 22nd, then we may have resolved it. The file being deleted was a zero-length file, redundantly created just prior to being recreated as we opened an outputstream on it. I think this really came about b/c a call to create files had been needed in earlier jargon release and now is redundant. These calls have been removed from the CDR LLS implementation and from the workbench irods eclipse file system.
