What is this?
This is a repository containing the pseudonymous access point logs of one week university life (Fri to Fri).
Additionally we have included various tools for working with the data.
data/ Data files and CouchDB import script. couchapp/ Web application for crowd-sourcing the process of collecting geolocation for the access points
Also I created an animated live visualization, which enables you to view the load at certain times. This is a web application based on the THREE.js framework. However, it is slow and needs to be optimized. The application has been created as a CouchApp and you need to follow the instructions below, to get it running. It is then accessible via your browser at the URI http://localhost:5984/uulm-networking/_design/visualization/index.html.
- Geolocations for all Access Points have to be added as a database file
cd data; tar xfv data.tar.gz to uncompress the files.
Entries are created whenever a WLAN-Client associates with an Access Point.

Import data into CouchDB
$ pwd uulm-networking/ $ cd ./data/ $ make couchimport $ make clean
You should now have 526359 rows in your database.
Import visualization into CouchDB
$ pwd uulm-networking/ cd ./visualization/ make push
Access the frontend via http://localhost:5984/uulm-networking/_design/visualization/index.html.
