Unity Empty error message

Hi !
I'm new to Unity and I wanted to try the 3D Ball example, but each time I launch the editor i get this weird empty error message :

I can't build the project or try the playmode.
I'm running Unity 2017.3.0f1 on Ubuntu 16.04 .
Any help would be great :)

Maybe try Unity version 2017.1.0, because this repository is based on that version.
