    optimization of interval addition using inlining

    max and mins function probably used to call polymorphic compare and slowed the addition function a lot. Now performance is comparable to stdlib's map (see https://github.com/pveber/test-decorated-map). Which means the simple information added to each node for approximate searching has a reasonable cost.
