I tested Team Fortress2 but after the game starts my mouse clicking do not cause any effect.....
I tested it with Kubuntu 12.10 and now 13.04
Mouse clicking works in KDE and wine games like arma2 and in other native games the mouse works to.
The mouse also works in the "steam-app"

Can you verify local content from Steam, please?

And please make sure you're not running with STEAM_RUNTIME=0.

"Can you verify local content from Steam, please?"

What do you mean exactly ? Or in other words what should I do?

"And please make sure you're not running with STEAM_RUNTIME=0."

I check for the starting option in the kde menu and its only : /usr/bin/steam %U

I did not use any option like STEAM_RUNTIME=0

I have the same issue. It used to work well, but since a few weeks, after an update, it stopped working.
All other games la CSS and DODS work.
There is no STEAM_RUNTIME=0 in my config and I don't know how to make a special local content check

I use Ubuntu 13.04 (sans issue with 12.10), nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti, with 4 screen (1080p) rotated 90° each.
I run the game in windowed mode.

@walloo13, @Qaridarium: Right click the game in the game list, choose Properties, click the Local Files tab, then "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache."

I had 1220 files which failed to validate... It downloaded again all the files... and 1220 files still failed to validate. :(
This is quite an issue.

for me the result of "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache." is: all files are 100% valid. The data files do not have any error on my system.

Hello @Qaridarium, are you still experiencing this issue with an up to date system?
