How to compile Vegas Coin?

VegasCoin is released under the terms of the MIT license. See

Developers work in their own trees, then submit pull requests when they think their feature or bug fix is ready.
If it is a simple/trivial/non-controversial change, then one of the VegasCoin development team members simply pulls it.
If it is a more complicated or potentially controversial change, then the patch submitter will be asked to start a discussion (if they haven't already) on github https://github.com/VegasCoin/vegascoin.
The patch will be accepted if there is broad consensus that it is a good thing.
Developers should expect to rework and resubmit patches if the code doesn't
match the project's coding conventions (see
doc/coding.txt) or are
master branch is regularly built and tested, but is not guaranteed to be
completely stable. Tags are created
regularly to indicate new official, stable release versions of VegasCoin.
Testing and code review is the bottleneck for development; we get more pull requests than we can review and test. Please be patient and help out, and remember this is a security-critical project where any mistake might cost people lots of money.
Developers are strongly encouraged to write unit tests for new code, and to submit new unit tests for old code.
Unit tests for the core code are in
src/test/. To compile and run them:
cd src; make -f makefile.unix test
Unit tests for the GUI code are in
src/qt/test/. To compile and run them:
qmake VEGASCOIN_QT_TEST=1 -o Makefile.test vegascoin-qt.pro make -f Makefile.test ./vegascoin-qt_test
Compiling Vegas Coin
Ubuntu / Kubuntu / Debian:

Go to project_root/src
make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-
If you have a multi core CPU you can add -jCPUCOUNT to increase compiling speed like this:
make -j4 -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- (this is if you want to use 4 CPU cores)
You should now have project_root/src/vegascoind which is your command line wallet. You can move this wallet to /usr/bin/vegascoind for ease of use.
Then go to project_root
qmake "USE_UPNP=-" vegascoin-qt.pro
Fedora / Redhat / CentOS:
The steps for these OS'es should be the same as for Ubuntu, with the difference of the packages that need to be installed.
Please install the following packages and then continue with the build steps as explained in the Ubuntu section.
NOTE: There is still a problem with compiling this wallet on RedHat / Fedora / CentOS due to ECC not being supported in the openssl packages of those distros. Open SSL must be compiled manually so that ECC support will be available!

There is a default executable for windows already, which you can use. We do not have a Mac version of a wallet available at this moment, and have a bounty for whoever can help us with that.
