Hi

I'm a Medical Student from Portugal and a long(er) time programmer (I just enjoy both).

Most people claim they love "Problem Solving and Learning". Well, I don't know about them, but in my case it's true, I really do love it.

My Path in Tech

  • Years ago, I started learning to make games, but quickly branched out into web, desktop, Android software development, cybersecurity, general scripting to automate my day-to-day life and much more stuff, whatever I'm interested in

  • Currently, I'm looking into AI fields like Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision (CV), and Deep Learning. I'm particularly interested in exploring fields that integrate computers and medicine (now working on my Master's thesis in medicine on that).

Stuff I've done

I've been involved in security research, got a CVE assigned by finding a Moodle vulnerability and reporting it: CVE-2025-3625

I've tutored Computer Engineering students in basic C programming, covering just enough for their bachelor's degree.

About Me

  • I'm currently a Medical Student at Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI).
  • I study medicine and when I get tired of it I switch to programming and vice-versa. Still, I learn most programming stuff in my holidays.

Tech Stack

  • I guess I've been using Next.js with typescript for frontends and I learned django with restframework for backends and APIs a few years ago (haven't picked it much, but I'll likely revisit it for my Master's thesis) -> update (2026): implemented in my RPI4 as the backend for my personal website to make some games (only available for friends).
  • I made some games in Unity.
  • I've used Avalonia UI for desktop apps which is similar to WPF.
  • I've scripted some stuff in python, I've learned most important web scraping libraries like BS4 and others for network stuff. I know the basics of most popular data analysis libraries like numpy, pandas, matplotlib, tensorflow. Now getting into pytorch more deeply.
  • My C++ level is intermediate. I know at least the most important things in the standard library, memory management and other lower level concepts. I know some stuff about metaprogramming too. For a while my focus was on learning advanced OOP and software architecture concepts primarly for app development, so I'm pretty good at it.
  • Basic C for university tutoring.
