WBCE CMS 1.6.8

This is a security and maintenance update that addresses a few vulnerabilities in NWI and elFinder. Additionally, Twig, PHPMailer, the WBCE Update Wizard, and the wbstats module have been updated. An update is highly recommended.

Many thanks to @iltosec for reporting the vulnerability, to the community (and the AI) for their solutions and contributions, and to all donors for supporting WBCE development.

WBCE CMS 1.6.7

This release is an important security and small bugfix / feature release. Use this version for new installations. All prior versions should be patched at least (see download on wbce.org) or updated as well.

Changes: Solving a vulnerability (thanks to KhanJanny for reporting and beach/Claude AI for solution), PHP 8.4 related fix for email validation (thanks to kant), security related update for elFinder, introducing WBCE Updater Admin Tool, Update for jQuery Migrate, jQuery UI and PHPmailer (thanks to colinax), getting rid again of the annoying login captcha (will appear only on real incidents).

WBCE CMS 1.6.5

This is an important maintainance and security release, with addresses some possible security risks reported by @Aleshizo and others. Furthermore jquery is updated to v. 3.7.1 and PHPmailer to 7.0.1.
Breaking changes:

• The login is now captcha protected
• the loginbox droplet (if used) has to be updated too (an updated version can be found in the add-on repository).
• users with permission to assign users to groups can assign other users only to groups which they are members themselves

WBCE CMS 1.6.0

WBCE 1.6.0 brings some bigger changes: it is the first version which is compatible to PHP 8.2, furthermore Editarea has been replaced with CodeMirror, the Droplets and the Outputfilter admin tool were heavily reworked and changes to the database class were applied for better error reporting. Also several bugfixes and some potential security flaws were fixed.
As usual this package can be used for fresh installations as well as for direct updates from any prior WBCE CMS version. Further information can be found in the WBCE CMS forum.

WBCE CMS 1.6.0-beta.4

This is another pre-release of the upcoming version of WBCE CMS. During the last days, some more rework was apllied to the output filters (removing unnecessary ones, sharpen titles and descriptions, new markdown reader for readme files). Also an issue with the search is now (hopefully) fixed.
As usual this package can be used for fresh installations as well as for direct updates from any prior WBCE CMS version - but keep in mind, this is a pre release, it's not recommended to use it for productive websites already, since minor bugfixes and adjustments still might be necessary. Nevertheless you're very welcome to test installation/updating on different platforms and report any problems via Github issues or in the WBCE CMS forum.
