A few weeks ago the MW API was down because of technical reasons. I recognized that only because I used the development tool while stopping at

var response = eval('(' + req.responseText + ')');

in /core.js getting a complete XHTML/HTML page.

This should be somehow handled and forwarded to the user to try it again later.

Yeah, I've run into this several times. I'll work on this later tonight if I get a chance.

yeah, I saw that. At least this isn't anything "needed" - the script worked since ages without it. XD
