To quote:
"I downloaded a few maps (in .wz format via "the legit map thread") moved them to the appropriate location (~/Library/Application Support/Warzone 2100 2.2/maps/), then booted up Warzone, then went Single Player > Start New Skirmish > Select Map, and lo and behold, no new maps."

Ah yes, this has been confirmed by Zarel, by the way.
I set the version to 2.2.0 since nothing has been done (to my knowledge) to fix this problem since 2.2 rc_1.
