When I put simple ACL in, it seems to break by putting an extra semi-colon in:

(from preview config)

acl "test" {
1;
;
};

Well, that's no good. :) Thanks for your patience.

Fixed in fmDNS 1.0-rc4-1 - you can download/upgrade just that module instead of the complete package if you'd like.

That got fixed, but I get a named-checkconf error (can't find ACL 'InternalNetworks') when I try to reload my server (but it works if I uncheck "Enable named checks". Could it have to do with the fact that the ACLs are defined AFTER the named.conf.options file that uses them?

So far I can't reproduce that which probably means I'm not using similar data to you. Could you please send me what options you are using with "InternalNetworks" in the value (both global and view options, please) so I can figure out what's going on here?

named.conf.options is only for Ubuntu systems so once I can reproduce it there I need to see if the problem is specific to Ubuntu systems or all systems.

Your config is supported by bind on Ubuntu based on the syntax, but the named-checkconf is failing. Is your fM server (webUI) on the same box (or running the same OS) as your fmDNS clients? It doesn't look like named-checkconf honors the same file structure.

Found the issue is related to named-checkconf as it does not honor the file structure supported by debian-based systems. Checks have been resolved with fmDNS-1.0-rc4-2.

WillyXJ, now I am getting "....Zone reload failed." when I edit a zone, how do I find out why it is failing?
