This is the first working version of the TheXTech game, initially called "A2XTech" (then renamed into TheXTech to avoid confusion with Talkhaus's A2XT game projects). The actual development got started approximately in 9~10 of February 2020 after one week when original source code of the SMBX game has been released on February 2, 2020. After two weeks of hard work, the fully working game got been released and named "A2XTech 1.3". This was a secret build shared with some close friends to test the game.

The main reason why the development of this game was kept a secret is a wish to work in a calm and have the ability to provide the sudden surprise for the community at the final.

  • There are Windows 32 bit builds only here.
  • The Linux build is possible to be made from the source code with tricks. The actual development was done on a Linux machine. The build system wasn't ready to produce portable builds, therefore there are not Linux release builds was done.
  • The macOS build wasn't made before the preparation to the public 1.3.1 version

This build contained some of its own bugs:

  • Upside-down popping down the block with a leaf by Link caused the mother-brain explosion sound
  • Some custom backgrounds had rendered glitchy
  • The glitchy render of a two-player mode when the camera is split
  • Lava+Mushroom crash bug causes assert crash
  • Score multiplier not working while stomping enemies without touching the ground
  • Piranha plants had the wrong GFX alignment
  • etc.
