What I found after reading several case studies on MDM solutions?

Aren’t new technologies mysteriously amazing? In its initial days, nobody believes it can exist, and then the user base starts demanding for more. That’s precisely what has happened with MDM solutions.
No one could have imagined concepts like work from home and having the complete organizational access on one smartphone while you’re on the go. However, as I read more and more about MDM solutions, I find them complicated. How does a manager choose a good one for his/her organization?
To demystify the problem, I started reading several case studies shared by managers who were successful to implement these solutions. Here’s what I found:
Before everything, you need to test the solution in your business environment. The demos and claims may all go in vain if it cannot fit into your business ecosystem. The good thing is there are several trial offers by vendors that you can use. Most of the vendors would happily help you test out the system and then make your final purchase decision. Don’t think about the time and little resources you give away while performing this step. You need clarity and it doesn’t matter if it takes time and a little cost. It’s all for a better future.
Let’s say you found a product that works well with your system. But can you operate it easily? Can your primary level employees use the system to get access to the desired resources? If it can’t be done, there’s no use of the solution you have implemented. Your organization wouldn’t be able to adapt it properly, and you’re mostly wasting your time and money on it.
Top concerns here are - what type of support you require, what access controls you need and which vendor is solving both of these issues. You also need to focus on how the deployment process will be and how it will fit into the system. Would you have to reconfigure your entire system, if yes, how difficult it would be and what resources would it take?
The implementation fee can be annual or per user. Different vendors offer either of these. But besides this, you need to consider the support and maintenance cost that can also cause a substantial increase in the total cost of the MDM solutions. Also examine the costs of how much you’ll spend on making the transition to this system, training your employees and how much time will it take.
Closing it all, I would say I have discovered four major factors that managers found out important and challenging enough that drives their choice of MDM solutions. I would still suggest you test every mobile device management solution you’re considering and thoroughly check the vendor background before beginning the process.
I would also like to recommend an MDM solution vendor - Xperteks that is consistently growing its user base with extremely satisfied consumers. You might want to give it a try!
