Remove / Split out social media sharing to Plugin

Proposed functionality

Remove the Twitter (now renamed X) and Facebook links for sharing. Suggest splitting functionality out into a plugin instead, which would allow additional social media services as well.

Use case

Twitter has been renamed to X and the service links are no longer functional for sharing there. Additionally, Facebook often changes its share process. Finally, additional other social media services and sites exist which may benefit from being able to share shortlinks.

Potential solution

Split this functionality out into a plugin per service and/or split this functionality out into a separate section that can be altered or updated for various services.

I honestly agree that this functionality should ideally not be maintained as part of YOURLS core. (In some 15 years of using YOURLS, I don't think I've touched it once.)

Replacing it with a framework for plugins to register sharing handlers might not be a quick task, but I'd be in favor of doing so for long-term maintenance and customizability reasons.

We are preparing a new version for PHP version support (#3864) and this definitely won't be finished in time for that, but it's good to get on the radar assuming other @YOURLS/core folks agree with me 😅

Side note: The sharing feature also seems to be a bit broken on my 1.9.2 instance at $work; the character counter ends up above the textarea and pushes the sharing buttons themselves out of bounds:
