Shattering‐Parry

Pedro E. V. Acosta edited this page Jun 5, 2026 · 1 revision

After rolling Fitness to mitigate a Critical Strike, a character may invoke Shattering Parry to reroll all mitigation dice. This can only be done once per critical strike, and costs the readied weapon the Damaged quality.

How to Use

  1. Complete the Fitness mitigation roll as normal — the mitigation result card appears in chat
  2. Right-click the mitigation result message
  3. Select "Shattering Parry — Reroll Mitigation"
  4. Confirm the action

What Happens

When confirmed, the module:

  1. Reverses all critical effects already applied from the original Fitness roll (conditions removed, scar deleted if one was added)
  2. Adds the Damaged quality to the character's readied weapon
  3. Launches a new Fitness mitigation roll — only this result counts

For effects that cannot be automatically reversed (instant death, other special effects), the module posts a GM notification describing what needs to be handled manually.

  • The context menu option disappears after it has been used
  • Requires a readied weapon on the actor
