Kill-Internet

Simple, effective parental control: Turns off Internet access on Macs.

Why?

I wrote this out of frustration and disgust at how terrible and buggy Apple's Parental Controls are; they are SO bad it must be by design.

Contributions welcomed.

How to use:

  1. Clone this repository or just copy k.sh
  2. chmod 755 k.sh
  3. edit k.sh to change "garrett" to name of account allowed Internet access (see note)
  4. ./k.sh

Note: I use "garrett" account to allow my son 30 minutes of Internet access. Mac parental controls are good at logging accounts out after a certain amount of time.

Roadmap

Establish remote control so the parent can turn off/on Internet remotely.
