gancio supports postgresql, mysql and sqlite so probably it is better to start with one and then try to make it generic.
I would start with sqlite as this will be easier.

It's so much more work to support all of them… Let's pick one and stick to it.
And here I picked PostgreSQL, and the backup step in Yunohost try to use MYSQL, that's the issue.
