See blog post for further information on this release. This should be completely functional. Additional features and improvements should be released in the next few weeks.

Features to come:

• Cancel button
• Stability around I/O threads
• Spinning progress bar
• 999 status displayed as "timedout"

A mac version can be built of this if needed. I do not currently have access to a mac, however, so if you want a mac version just clone, install, and run the electron:mac script.
