Webmention is awesome, but it would be super useful to be able to notify legacy pingback urls for those that aren't yet using it.

Maybe this or similar?

Good thinking. I will take that onboard as a feature request. It seems easy enough to grab out of the head.

Looks like the Pingback Gem has some edges and has not received any love since 2015. I’m working on it though.

Gonna back this out of 2.3 while I figure that out. I may also take over the webmention Ruby gem and do the integration there. Not sure yet.
