Update: I'm likely going to be replacing/archiving activeinteractor in favor of a brand new library. Much of the functionality discussed here remains the same. |

Hey All,
TL;DR:
I'm working hard in my spare time on the next version of ActiveInteractor. In fact its already out in an
alpha
release. A few things to note on the gem and where we're going. Firstly, I'm moving the gem off my personal github account in favor of https://github.com/activeinteractor/activeinteractor, so if you feel so inclined to move your star/watch/follows over to that repo it would be greatly appreciated.Secondly, we have some crude documentation (enough to get started) at https://activeinteractor.org. I would greatly appreciate anyone who has the time to install the latest alpha and break things and submit issues to the new repo. As I mentioned I'm working hard on the new version in my spare time, we all know how sparse "spare time" can be; If anyone is interested in collaboration please feel free to throw up a pull request or an issue at the new repo. In order to get out of Alpha I would like to see everything in the new gem thoroughly tested, I'd like to see signatures, and robust API documentation. Any help to that end would be greatly appreciated.
Lastly, the gem as it is is pretty stable as far as API is concerned. I really just need to put in the work to port over the organizer functionality from V1 and beef up testing and signatures. Once that is all complete I will start working on migration documentation to get folks off of V1 and on to V2 of the gem and we can begin the process of sunsetting support for V1 of the gem.
Thanks all for your time reading this and please feel free to throw up questions, suggestions, bug reports, etc... at the new repo or on this discussion!
Thanks,
Aaron
