DDLS: Cyclical Dependencies

CDS views can have cyclical dependencies. Currently, standard SAP is not able to handle such activation scenarios.

I'll just add that this part:

A solution for full resolution of semantic cyclical dependencies using step-by-step activation in mass activation of CDS entities is currently being developed and will be shipped in a future release.

has been there since 7.50 ;)

I think the most abapGit can do is analyze the dependencies, use mass activation for all of them even if only one of them is inactive and on error call the activation again and again. This is same "solution" as described in SAP notes using SDDLAR (Edit: though I sometimes had more success activating specific individual views first). Some of my bookmarks for reference:
