Currently one have to look at etl.log to get a better grasp on errors.

We need a way for the user to define an error callback, opening the ability to:

  • do custom errors notifications or storage
  • stop the processing based on arbitrary criterias
error_callback do |error|
  # do something

return false # stop the processing

Things to consider

  • should it be possible for the callee to stop the process with error, by returning false or something?
  • can a callback return something to indicate the error should be dropped?

This needs some documentation now.
