Is there any way to bypass the setup screen and use WebIDE locally, without BitBucket?
Not yet, but I have a github issue open to allow a fully offline mode that you could enable during installation (and later).
Out of curiosity, what are your use cases for keeping it offline? Will you manually push to your remote repositories? Or no remote repositories entirely?
Thanks Justin for the quick response!
It's not a major requirement. Often I have things like raspberry pi's on an internal-only network so needing to communicate to the outside world is an extra unnecessary step.
I am teaching a class that will use PI's attached directly to laptops, they don't have access to the internet as such. I am unable to use this as it requires bit bucket. Please find a way to bypass that requirement as the tool is awesome.
Yes same thing, I'm traveling a lot and in some places I have no internet access, but would like to continue to develop my software. Bitbucket is a nice feature but we can live without by keeping the lastest version locally.
WebIde is fantastic, thanks a lot for that!
The next release (0.3.7) has two new installation flags (can be enabled with a restart too) to enable an offline mode, as well as a github mode. Thanks!
