Issue Details

When using the Built-in AutocompleteEditor, the dropdown hides "behind" the page when it gets lower than the last row shown on screen. You can easily reproduce with the Built-in Example by trying to update the column "Priority" of the 3 last rows of the Datagrid.

I tried to fix it in vain with some CSS and this is extremely frustrating as this is a major UI issue that makes it almost unusable.

The issue was already present with an officially supported version of React
Thanks for your help!

@JrmKrb thank you for reporting this issue. This is a known bug, the issue is that the editor is rendered inside the grid and when the grid height is is smaller than the editor then the editor is cutoff.

Possible solution

  • Use Portals to render the editor outside the grid and align it with the input control. This means dropping support for React 15

Ideas are welcome, we will also look into potential solutions
