Installation

This configuration relies on spacemacs and must be installed in advance either in $HOME or /etc/skel.

  1. Clone the repository into /etc/skel or $HOME
    git clone https://github.com/admiralakber/myOS-emacs /etc/skel/.myOS-emacs

  2. (IMPORTANT) In your user account, configure the layers

First pull the submodules to get all the layers:

    cd ~/.myOS-emacs
    make gitreqs

There isn’t much to change. Read the documentation for each layer and configure in the installed directory.

  3. In user account, install / configure ~/.spacemacs

The Makefile is provided creates a logical link and any existing ~/.spacemacs file will be moved to ~/.spacemacs.bak automatically and may be merged later.

    cd ~/.myOS-emacs
    make install

  4. (OPTIONAL) Install emc script for easy client / daemon usage
    cp ~/.myOS-emacs/emc ~/.local/bin/emc

Usage

Run emacs, or emc

See layer README files.
