The problem is this. Several times now I have started projects in Brackets, i work for a few hours to a couple days on some code, saving regularly. When I come back and try to open my project files again, the Brackets decides to inform me that am not able to open my files "An error occurred when trying to open the file ...../filename.css. Brackets currently only supports UTF-8 encoded text files"
I had no extensions installed at the time. Now I have installed "Shizimily Multi-Encoding for Brackets" but still cant seem to open these files.
Yea well these files were saved by Brackets, therefore shouldn't they in fact be UTF-8s?This has happened to 3 different project files now, 2 filnames.css and a filename.html.
Linux 4.4.0-62-generic #83-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 18 14:10:15 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Release 1.8 experimental build 1.8.0-17108
Any advice would be handy.
Next step for me is to download another development tool to see if they can read these files.
Please include the OS and what version of the OS you're running.
Please include the version of Brackets. You can find it under Help -> About Brackets (Windows and Linux) or Brackets -> About Brackets (macOS)
Help -> About Brackets
Brackets -> About Brackets
Linux builds are not well mantained. Could you try to reproduce with https://github.com/zaggino/brackets-electron?
