Installation of Aegir on a misconfigured server ends with 'Could not find the alias @hostmaster' error that does not give any details at all on what is wrong and what must be fixed. Personally, I've been very frustrated by this error and had to spend a lot of time looking into package internals.
Hopefully, describing this error in the trouble shooting section of the install docs will help system administrator search in the right direction.
