I believe the correct way to do this is to check for the system feature: You can use the package manager extension to do this: var isChromebook:Boolean = PackageManager.service.hasSystemFeature( "org.chromium.arc.device_management" ); Package Manager extension is available here: https://github.com/distriqt/ANE-PackageManager/ or via apm
