Chat Plugin: keep text in input bar if contact minimizes chat plugin

Currently: if I type a message in the input bar and then minimize the chat plugin before sending the message, the text disappears when I re-open the chat plugin.

If I type a message like the one above, and then minimize the chat plugin, the following image is what I see when I re-open.

A contact should be able to minimize and re-open the chat plugin (while staying on the same page) without the text within the input bar disappearing.
