A simple possibility to recognize the name of the formerly procedure selected would be nice. With right mouse button menue?

In case of SID only one name is required.
In case of STAR + Approach + Transition it is a hand full of info.
Perhaps it could be implemented when using specific lnm.pln

What about a tooltip on the ident column or procedure type columns?

The flight plan table is already getting a bit crammed so I'm not keen on adding a new column. Same for the context menu which is constantly growing.

A tooltip on the procedure columns is fine by me.
The need for knowing your SID and STAR (for me) is only required during a selecting proces from the procedure column.

albar965 added a commit that referenced this issue Sep 28, 2018

Added procedure name to flight plan table.
Changed column Procedure Type to Procedure.
Added display of ARINC name to flight plan header label since some FMC need this value.

Didn't like the tooltip. Somehow inconsistent. If column is too big it can be shrinked anyway.

I make my flightplan and sometimes I need the selected procedure name, days later for programming my PMDG FMC.

@bayerla : Already implemented. See my screenshot above. I also display the ARINC name (I32, CVOR, etc.) for approaches now which is needed by some FMCs like the Rotate MD-80.

@Gulliver54: I think you replied to a draft post which I delete later.

Gents, feel free to get back if something is missing. Reopen the issue if needed. Most of these tasks are helpful for users and are not much work. Therefore I pulled this into 2.2.

I am sorry, but I dont understand, how to read the selected "Full Procedure Identification" direct?
Perhaps it´is due to my knowledge English, or Aviation.
In my screenshot I want to know out of the Flightplan:
Have I selected (days before) Star Identification EEL1A or EEL1B ? to choose this fast in the FMC.
Yes looking, inside i find the difference Noven Or Narso. But sometimes it is more difficult.

Next time I try to spent more time for my issue and to use the first time the correct specific Item.

Hi Bayerla,
Below a screenshot with the information you need. ( If I understand you correctly) .
Direct under the words Flight Plan you find the information about the previous selected STAR.
09-29-02

A better choice was the STAR NORK2A as you can see in the blue line followed by Approach ILS 18R Transition ART2c . The complete info can be found direct under the words FLIGHT PLAN.

One remark regarding last post:
After saving your flightplan and reloading, only the Approach information returns direct under FLIGHT PLAN. STAR info is gone. Something to do with .pln syntax?

That sounds like a bug. Can you attach the flight plan? What AIRAC cycle?
I extended the PLN format and add annotations to the files. All procedures should be reloaded.

Hi Alex,

First picture before saving as .pln
STAR NORK2A + Approach ART2C ILS 18R
10-01-01

Second picture after saving as .pln and reloading .pln
10-01-02

Notice that STAR info is no part anymore of the Flight Plan titel and STAR info in flighplan has changes from blue to white missing info in Procedure type column.

Hi Gradus,
is "File" -> "Save Waypoints for SID and STAR" set by any chance? This would lead to this behavior.

Hi Alex,
No, just used CTRL-S.
To make sure it's no EHAM artefact, I did the same procedure with EGLL Heathrow with the same result.
Gradus

Sorry, In fact Save waypoints...... is set.
Will do the same procedure without this one set.
Gradus

OK Alex,
That does the trick. Saved flightplan and after reloading full information is visible again.

If "File" -> "Save Waypoints for SID and STAR" is checked it will affect all saves.
See Save Waypoints for Approaches and Save Waypoints for SID and STAR .
