Could be useful, yes, for debugging, performance monitoring -- either in aggregate or specific runs. Question would be where the data goes, what's the interface for inspecting it (specific runs), analyzing it (in aggregate), etc. There's especially a use-case here if running IaC as a service -- either self-hosted internal small platform or SaaS.

IME, developers commonly complain about slow IaC and debugging that after the fact, sometimes hours later, is difficult at best. Trace data would certainly help with that.
