Is it possible to make a (beta) release of gummi, even if (now) there is no new features? Otherwise, its difficult to find a version to install in windows.

@alexandervdm Would it be possible to upload the old beta version for Windows? I normally work on Linux/Manjaro, but from time to time have to work on a Windows machine. No support expected!

Hi Alexander van der Meij.
I remember a beta release of gummi for windows OS, however, I cannot find it anymore.
Can you please share that beta release of gummi under windows OS?
The gummi editor is still one of the best favorite editors among many people.
Thank you and kind regards,
Vahid Mokhtari

Thanks everyone for your interest. I have recently picked up development again and am now taking another look at the Windows build process. As of right now the latest code for the upcoming 0.8.0 release compiles successfully. The build seems to run OK but with a number of (mostly visual) issues. I plan to fix said issues in the coming days and will release a new Windows installer after.

I should restate that I have no personal interest in the Windows platform and as such my time testing and polishing this particular port will be very limited. Similar to the old build linked above by @mokhtarivahid (thank you), future builds should be considered as experimental.

That said the build above was created from 0.6.2 sources in 2012, so based on the work that went into the repository since then I expect to offer a dramatically better user experience soon.

Thank you very much in advance for all your hard work.

A new Windows build for gummi-0.8.2 will be released in January February.

@alexandervdm February will end in a couple of days. Is there any download link available?

The latest source code compiles on Windows again, but I've identified (at least) one UI hanging issue that I need to fix before releasing the build. My guess is some (w32) code got left behind in the migration to GTK3. I have reserved some time to look into it this coming Wednesday the 3rd. Assuming I can fix it the build will be released on this date.

An experimental 0.8.* build is now available at:
https://packages.gummi.app/win32/gummi-w32-unstable-20210303.zip

I should re-emphasize that this build is experimental and you will likely run into bugs using it. The old 2012 build above probably offers a better end-user experience right now, but I will follow up with updated builds as I work through the bugs in the coming period.

There is a progress about an official release build?

And it is possible to have recent build?

Thanks in advance.
