Bottom and top layers are rectilinear solid infill as configured, but top surfaces not on those layers are concentric.

Top layer in the middle of the model with concentric infill:

Link to STL and exported config.ini?

Saw the same problem. Slic3r 0.9.9 on Mac OS. STL generated by AutoDesk Inventor, not repaired.

Update: Actually, watching that print right now, I noticed something else - rather than doing an entire concentric 'island', it was doing a single 'perimeter' of the concentric, then moving to the next concentric, and so on. Makes me think that perhaps it's not a concentric issue, but something to do with perimeters instead (another open ticket #1170 shows similar behaviour).

I've also included the GCode so that others might see the pattern:

I went to the GUI, changed the setting of top infill from rectangular to hilbert, then back to rectangular, hoping to correct the setting. Didn't help. Did another (completely different) STL, got the same results.

Looks like the same as issue# 1170 ... I do indeed have the "Generate extra perimeters when needed" option enabled.

Here are my config, stl, and gcode files. I always fix my stls w/ netfabb.

config: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8w3H_wgix6xdXg2YmI0MXNKaXc/edit?usp=sharing
stl: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8w3H_wgix6xMU5DSE9BVEVZbW8/edit?usp=sharing
gcode: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8w3H_wgix6xSDF6UFpPbHNMc28/edit?usp=sharing

@Surothog

Unchecking "Generate Extra Perimeters when Needed" eliminated the problem for me. I do, of course, lose the extra perimeters, which have value for other reasons, but it's definitely involved.

Okay, this was related to #1170 which was recently fixed. Thank you
