Wizzard (not a bug) #1204
Comments
I do change settings before every print as well, then I decide to save them as a preset or to discard them. |
That is what I'm doing and it is working, but I would prefer a wizzard acually. Then I wouldent forget to change all the parameters that i need for the current print. |
Should it go through all the settings currently available in Print Settings? |
My idea is the folowing: page 1: page 2: the rest of the pages follows this pattern. And at the end of the print settings there will be a question if you would like to change the filament settings och printer settings as well. |
your page 1 is the the "Plater" tab - choose a preset from the drop-down menus, otherwise (or in addition to that)... I think you already have your wizard. How does recasting the entire Slic3r interface as a fixed sequence of screens improve upon that? What parameters are you typically forgetting to set? Just layer height and number of perimeters? Because if you're worried about forgetting other settings, you're going to have to hit that "advanced" button every time. And then you might as well just use the normal tabbed Slic3r interface, right? |
There's an initial config wizard for slic3r. Having a wizard pop up for every single print is unnecessary and clutters the interface, especially with the Simple interface being a thing. |
Hello!
This is not a bug, but rather a idea!
I don't know how you guys configure slic3r. But I change the settings before every print. But wouldent it be helpfull to add a cofiguration wizzard that creates a temporary configuration file for just the current print?
