NAME

fai-simple-config - A minimalist config space for FAI

DESCRIPTION

fai-simple-config is a minimalist's approach to FAI's config space. It defines the bare minimum to get an FAI system up and running.

My approach to FAI is that it should do the bare minimum to boostrap a box. FAI is solid in this respect and does it well. However IMHO once a machine is online, files in scripts/ should hand over to configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet which are better suited for host configuration.

Use and build on fai-simple-config as a basis for your bootstrapping needs.

INSTALLATION

To install into your FAI config space:

make install
