Live Demo: http://alindeman.github.com/github-timeline-widget/

It’s a work in progress, but feel free to try it out and/or give me feedback.

Steps To Add To Your Website

1. Include jQuery in your page. You can easily include the one from Google Libraries API:

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

2. Create a <div> element on your page to hold the widget:

<div id="github-timeline-widget"></div>

3. Include the following code snippet, substituting ##GITHUB USERNAME## for your GitHub username:

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://github.com/alindeman/github-timeline-widget/raw/stable/github-timeline-widget.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(function() {
  var options = {
    'username': '##GITHUB USERNAME##',
    'limit': 5,
    'user_id': true // set to false to exclude (user #)
  };
  $("#github-timeline-widget").githubTimelineWidget(options);
});
</script>

4. Optional: Style it with CSS
Use the CSS classes github-timeline-header to style the header text (defaults to “lucidia grande” 14px bolder black) and github-timeline-event-text:link to style the text (defaults to “lucidia grande” 12px black).

See the github-timeline-widget.css file for all classes.
