the action has nothing to do with the cron. I don't see how it would relate. if you uninstall, does it persist? |

i tested it, and didnt see any interaction with cron at all. |

I just checked, I get the same access denied html content in the cron log without the plugin too, so it is not this plugin I don't think. |

I need to look into this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10598530/cron-job-and-folders-permissions-permission-denied Maybe my server got an update and it affected the cron |

do you mean to say it didnt work through cron? |

why would it? The event is on task close. Not |

ok but when i manually close a task, i will getting the action emails... in the daily cron, it is not working but before it did... I'm just checking the logs as @alfredbuehler suggested a few cli commands which i did and they worked fine... so im just checking the logs.... i think it might be to do with this plugin... still not sure. |

Im not sure really following what you are thinking or what is in your head, but the event for your action here in this plugin is triggered on task "Close". That is the only trigger. The cron has nothing to do with triggering this action. what ever you are experiencing, remove the plugin, and if you are still experiencing it, then it is not this plugin. I thought you already confirmed that. |

and i am definately not following what you mean here. what used to work? again, your action is not triggered by the cron, so what exactly used to work in the cron that is related to this plugin? |

I dont understand why there would be question marks... the above is at the time of the cron from the command line |

so this plugin was going to email me the report once the task is manually closed - that works but then i also, maybe not through this plugin and maybe through the core, had an action to close the action after x days. i think thats was in the core. now when the 7th day passed, the trigger for cron seems to start but generate the access denied message. looking at the extract of the log before, please advise why I have question marks |

@alfredbuehler @creecros here is a question...
but my webhook token inside kanboard is should they match? |
Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.

So I changed the token in cron line to match the webhook token... hopefully it should work at 7am.... let's see |

@creecros i've googled around a few times, i get it that the vps gets an access, error and cron log per domain which i think was set up initially by some guy on fiver over a year ago. i am presuming stderr and stdin and stdout output to that as i get kanboard errors in that mostly. i also get an error.log and an access.log - but them two dont show anything for kanboard. so if you have any commands or tutorials you know of where
I'd appreciate that. because the stuff i find keep referring to a file > error.log but i am not wanting a file to be logged, im looking at any command to be logged. anyhow, i really hope that the above webhook token mismatch solves my access denied issue. |

um, yes. that's your issue. although I would question why your cron is setup this way at all. |

you don't have to wait, you can test the command instantly. |

After I could inspect the contents of your session table, I recommend terminating or logout really all user sessions, just to see whether the growth of the table stops. |

so i did this
after changing the cronjob webhook token and it worked but my cron didnt run this morning.... I edited the crontab, saved it, restarted cron... but it never ran the kanboard cron line at 7am with no errors. Did i miss something? do i need to restart the vps or apache? however, manually triggering the cron using the code above worked and i got the emails. I think I will try to change the cron line with whats in the docs |

do i need to sign into each user to purge their sessions? is there a way to do this? |

@alfredbuehler @creecros does this look correct for a cronjob?
|

i manually deleted each session for each user in the kanboard profile of each user.... then i emptied the session table in phpmyadmin.... then i just refreshed the login page and noticed one entry in the sessions table (without loggin in yet) |

@aljawaid Is the session table still growing now? |

@creecros @alfredbuehler
Ultimately, the problem to this whole post was the wrong webhook token. A very huge gratefu l thanks to both of you for trying, testing, investigating into every aspect of this plugin and most likely banging yoru desks in frustration over my lack or incorrect information which I gave or the way I described it. But honestly, a big thanks, it is highly appreciated and I have learnt a lot along the way. |

@creecros Could you kindly review the code? The problem is described here: https://kanboard.discourse.group/t/cron-stopped-working-permission-denied/2689
Basically, the cron log is filled with just this:
I will paste the code for the
debug.log
shortly... I cannot confirm if this plugin is the problem, but I thought I would look at my own first. I'm wondering whether it has anything to do with the project email address... as that was the only recent feature....Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
