This release features improved bridge mapping and better zoom handling on the maps.
Main changes in this release are the ability to define bridges and their elevation profile. The problem we faced was that the TomTom Elevation services was severely lacking in accuracy (sometimes even appearing random) plus it doesn't know about bridges. So to solve these two problems this release adds the ability to automatically download USGS NED 1/3, 1 and 2 Arc Second and SRTM elevation data. This gives a very good elevation coverage in US and very decent coverage in the rest of the world. That solves the first problem. The next feature is a bridge editor which allows you to setup bridges and their elevation. Once you reload the elevation profile (right click on the workout) you can see the bridge in your run.
Of course all of that would be moot if the service you are uploading to then throws away the data because it thinks it's bad ( Strava, does so for the TomTom watches, quite understandably). So to convince Strava to keep the elevation data we can set the Watch descriptor to a different name which makes Strava trust the elevation data.
- Added metric / imperial selector.
- New tree view showing the workouts with start time, duration, length and pace and allows for sorting.
- Workout type switcher, for those times that you didn't select the right workout type.
- Better TCX export.
- Better cadence filtering and smoothing.
This is the first OS X build for TTWatcher. We don't have a lot of experience with OS X applications but it worked here, just let us know if you have trouble. Also includes a few fixes for Windows.
We've recently started using Smashrun to log our workouts since they have so many cool statistics, not to mention badges :). This version now adds support for this site!
This release contains a lot of fixes includes updates to the TCX export format to be more compatible with other services out there. Especially my.asics.com did not like the old TCX files.
This release adds automatic downloading and exporting to the binary releases. To use this functionality turn it on in the settings screen.
Turns out the installer didn't quite work everywhere. This release includes the missing Qt files.
