Optirun Nouveau with Primus doesn't work #107
Comments
Known issue, see #68. |
wondering why you wouldn't just do prumusrun glxgears ? I'm using the nvidia binaries as they are much better for games than nouveau at this point in time. |
They are subtle differences between primusrun and optirun -b primus. But that's not the matter here. Yes, nvidia is better than nouveau on a lot of things, but they are people that don't like proprietary things, and people working on nouveau development. Because in a nice world, nouveau would be better than nvidia. And this is what some people are trying to achieve. Plus, if you want to try PRIME, you need to use nouveau. Then, if you want to compare with Bumblebee... They are many reasons of using nouveau. |
It doesn't matter - primusrun or optirun In the future Nouveau should be faster than Nvidia Driver - Gallium3D and Wine patch increasing speed by 200% in DX9 software etc. I'm not very angry about this bug, but I report it, because it's a bug :) |
Not a bug in primus. |
Hello!

Maybe it's my fault, but I don't know how to fix them.
