I have this issue where as soon as I enable a virtual screen, any video playback within the virtual screen is very slow (2-3 fps) and freezes when I set it to fullscreen. If I disable the Syphon server, it makes no difference.

Also, I notice that if I have a Quicktime player running on the main screen of my laptop, and I then enable a virtual screen, the fps of the Quicktime player drops to 2-3 fps. VLC does not have this problem, even if it is very slow (2-3 fps) when moved to the virtual screen. It still plays at the target fps on the main screen.

I am running OS X 10.10.3. Thanks.

Hi, it may be cause by this:
And probably it is the same issue experienced by @Vjtarang here: #32

This should be fixed upstream in EWProxyFramebuffer. In the meanwhile, I am afraid that Yosemite is just not supported. Sorry!
