Rust functions to write out to the RPi Sense HAT LED matrix

This project is to translate from the Raspberry Pi Sense HAT Python library (https://github.com/RPi-Distro/python-sense-hat) to Rust.

I presented a talk on this project and my experience with learning Rust: https://www.pycascades.com/talks/raspberrypy-to-rustypi-translating-a-python-api-to/

My goal was to be able to produce the same type of functionality as in this example.

I decided to start with a simple write of a static image, a question mark.

  • Master branch is for testing on MacOS.
  • LEDon branch is to display image on RPi Sense HAT LED matrix.
  • LEDoff branch is to shut off LED matrix (set all pixels to 0).
